Ian Waymann, is a professional engineer with over 30 years of experience in the planning and design of airport related infrastructure. Ian has been involved in the project management and contract administration of a wide array of aviation related projects including Transport Canada’s Radar Modernization Project, CATSA’s EDS deployment project as well as numerous airside rehabilitation and expansion projects at Waterloo, Peterborough, Kingston, Ottawa, Red Deer, Edmonton and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport amongst others. Other unique experience which has further broadened Ian’s background and insight has included design-build experience on both the owner’s and builder’s sides at Peterborough and Kingston, Ontario airports as well as Quito, Ecuador’s new greenfield airport. Ian’s lifelong enthusiasm for all things aviation includes a commercial pilot licence and instrument rating which he currently enjoys when flying a Cessna T182T.
